MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMSouthwest Mississippi Children's Advocacy Center serves as a representative on Multidisciplinary Teams (MDT) in 5 counties: Amite, Copiah, Lincoln, Pike and Walthall.
The MDT is a dedicated group of agencies that work to reduce trauma for children during the investigation and prosecution of child abuse related crimes. The MDT is committed to serving children and families through the utilization of the child-first protocol, which focuses on solutions that are in the best interest of the child. Once a month, the MDT in each county will meet to discuss solutions and next steps for cases. |

LEADERSHIP TEAM
Southwest Mississippi Children's Advocacy Center serves as a representative on Leadership Teams in all five counties we serve. The Leader Team is a dedicated group of leaders from each agency on the MDT that strive to find creative solutions to reduce limitations and issues that agencies face when serving child victims of abuse. This team is committed to serving the MDT and continues to strive for best practice for all agencies.
